Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to ask us to change or delete it.

01Who we are

The Logic Lab is a trading name of Clickageek (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2021/909625/07, postal address P.O. Box 6170, Welgemoed, Cape Town, 7530. We're responsible for the personal information described here.

Our Information Officer, as required by South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), is Wayne Spengler. Questions about privacy go to [email protected]. We'll reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.

02What we collect

When you get in touch or book a call

Your name, email address, business name, and whatever you choose to tell us in your message.

When you become a client

Contact details for you and the people you name in your handover pack, plus information about how your website and systems are set up. We ask you not to send us passwords or other login secrets. If one reaches us anyway, we stop, delete it, and let you know.

When we monitor your website

The web address we check and the results of each check: whether it answered, how quickly, and any error code. This is about your website, not about your visitors.

Payments

Payments are handled by our payment provider. We see that you paid and the amount. We never see or store your full card number.

When you visit our website

If you agree to analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how the site is used: pages viewed, how you arrived, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 doesn't store full IP addresses. We don't use it to identify you, and we've switched off its advertising features.

03Google tools we use

ToolWhat it doesCookies on your device
Google tag (gtag.js)Loads Google Analytics from Google Tag Manager's servers and respects your cookie choice.None of its own
Google Analytics 4Counts visits and shows which pages are useful.Yes, only after you accept
Google Search ConsoleTells us which Google searches our site appears in, as totals. It works from Google's search data, not from anything on our site.None

We use Google Consent Mode. Until you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics doesn't set cookies, and any signal sent is cookieless and not linked to you.

Google's own use of this data is covered by Google's Privacy Policy. You can also install Google's opt-out browser add-on.

04Cookies

_ga_<ID>AnalyticsKeeps track of a single visit (Google Analytics)2 years

You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings in the footer of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

05Why we use it

Different privacy laws use different wording. In plain terms, we use your information:

  • To do the work you asked for, like writing your pack, running your monitoring, and sending alerts.
  • To run the business sensibly, like replying to enquiries, keeping records, and protecting our systems. Where the law calls this "legitimate interests", we've weighed it against your rights.
  • Because you agreed, for analytics cookies. You can withdraw that at any time.
  • Because the law requires it, for example keeping invoices for tax purposes.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-site advertising.

06Who else sees it

Only the service providers we need to do the work, each bound to protect it and to use it only for us:

  • Website hosting, and Cloudflare, which forwards email sent to our address
  • Cal.com, when you book a call (it collects your name, email and anything you add to the booking)
  • Google, for the analytics and search tools above
  • Our payment provider
  • Slack and email providers, to deliver your alerts
  • Our automation platform, which routes alerts

A current list is available on request. We'll share information with authorities only if the law requires us to.

07Countries

We work with clients around the world, and our providers run servers in several countries. Your information may be stored or processed outside your own country. Where the law requires it, we use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

08How long we keep it

InformationKept for
Enquiries that don't become work12 months

09Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • show you the information we hold about you
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • limit or object to how we use it
  • give you a copy in a format you can take elsewhere
  • stop using it for anything you agreed to

Email [email protected]. We'll confirm who you are before acting, and we won't treat you differently for asking. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country. In South Africa, that's the Information Regulator.

10Keeping it safe

We use accounts protected by two-step login, encrypted connections, and the least access needed. We deliberately don't collect passwords for your systems. No method is perfect, and if something goes wrong that affects you, we'll tell you promptly.

11Children

Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

12Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll also email current clients.
